We have received a few calls about the time it takes to send images from the phone app to the contact's file tab.
So, here is a break down of your phones camera options and options available.
iPhone
The original iPhone and iPhone 3G feature a built-in Fixed focus 2.0 megapixel camera.
The iPhone 3GS has a 3.2 megapixel camera and the iPhone 4 has a 5 megapixel camera.
Droid
Open the Camera
Click the hard Menu key on the phone
Select Settings and update the Picture Resolution.
You can now select one of the following options:
Large & Wide Screen = 8 megapixels
Medium = 5 megapixel
Small = 3 megapixel
Extra Small = 2 megapixel
(Note: Depending on your phone you may have additional options.)
Please keep in mind that the larger the image resolution the longer it will take to transfer.
Also, rather than wait for the image to upload before you can take another picture. Complete task of taking all your job photos and then when you go to upload a photo you can choose "Existing" photo. This will allow you to select a previously captured image and upload the photos once back in your vehicle or in your down time.
